What counts as a calculation
One press of a Run button is one calculation, whichever calculator you are in. Changing an input and running again counts as another. Loading a preset, reading the charts, zooming them or exporting the result you already have costs nothing. The counter resets every day.
What a paid plan actually adds
The free tier gives you the full thermodynamic cycle: pressure, temperature, mass and volume through every crank degree, mean effective pressure, power, torque and efficiency. For understanding how an engine breathes, that is the whole story, and it stays free.
Pro adds the step after that: taking the cylinder pressure trace and working out what it does to the hardware. The dynamic module resolves gas and inertia forces along the rod and across the crank throughout the cycle, and the stress calculator sizes and checks the piston, rings, pin, rod and crankshaft against the material limits you specify. That is the part you need if you are actually going to cut metal.
Billing
Subscriptions are monthly and are handled by Paddle as the merchant of record, which means Paddle appears on your statement and handles VAT and sales tax for your country. You can pause or cancel from your account at any time, and cancelling leaves you on the free tier rather than locking you out.
