YaMZ-236
The YaMZ-236 is the 11.15-litre V6 diesel that powered a generation of Soviet and CIS trucks, buses and tractors, and it is still in service in enormous numbers. At 130 mm bore by 140 mm stroke with 17:1 compression it operates in a completely different regime from the automotive presets: low rpm, very high peak cylinder pressure, and mechanical loads an order of magnitude larger. That makes it the natural preset for a crankshaft and connecting-rod strength study, where the forces are large enough that the safety factors actually matter. The calculator returns the full diesel cycle and the crank-train loads.

Notes for modelling
- Peak cylinder pressure here is several times what the petrol presets produce — carry it into the stress calculator.
- Low-rpm operation means gas forces dominate over inertial forces; the dynamic results show the split.
