MeMZ-245 (ZAZ Tavria)
The MeMZ-245 is the 1.1-litre four from the ZAZ Tavria, the smallest four-cylinder petrol engine in the preset library. A 72 mm bore with a 67 mm stroke gives an oversquare layout, and the 10:1 compression ratio is high for its class. Small-displacement engines make the friction and pumping terms proportionally much more significant than they are on a large engine, which is exactly why they are instructive to model: the gap between indicated and effective power is visible rather than marginal. The calculator runs the full cycle and returns power, torque, BSFC and the crank-train loads.

Notes for modelling
- Watch the difference between indicated and effective power — on a small engine the mechanical losses are a large fraction of the total.
- The preset is per cylinder; multiply by four for the whole engine.
