Mitsubishi 4G63
The 4G63 is the 2.0-litre four that powered the Lancer Evolution and the Eclipse, and it is the default starting point for most four-cylinder rally and drag builds. Its 85 mm bore and 88 mm stroke make it slightly undersquare, which favours mid-range torque over peak-rpm breathing — the reason the engine feels strong long before the turbo is fully on song. The preset runs at a 10:1 compression ratio, so it models the naturally-aspirated end of the family; lower it and raise intake pressure to explore the turbocharged variants. The calculator returns the complete cycle plus the dynamic loads on the crank train.

Notes for modelling
- Undersquare geometry means mean piston speed climbs fast with rpm — raise the RPM field and watch the inertial forces in the dynamic results.
- Intake and exhaust valve timing are editable: the preset's overlap is a sensible street figure, and widening it is where a cam upgrade shows up in the model.
- Compression and boost interact; change one at a time so you can attribute the result.
